KARACHI, May 24: A man killed his five-year-old daughter and injured three other children of his in his home in Joharabad on Friday.

Police said Nasir Masih, 43, stabbed his daughter Buma, 5, and injured Bumy, 3, Yasir, 4, and Sonia, 10, in his home in F. B. Area’s Block 15. A neighbour informed police after he heard noise coming from the house.

Police arrested Nasir. The four children were rushed to the JPMC, where doctors pronounced Buma dead on arrival. Three others had been admitted to the hospital.

Nasir told police that he had been jobless for over a year. Formerly he worked as a sweeper.

Police had no information about Nasir’s wife.
