LAHORE, Sept 15: UK Trade and Investment Director Hamish Daniel has said two British trade delegations will visit Pakistan shortly to explore the possibilities of increasing investment and trade.
Talking to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Anjum Nisar here on Wednesday, he said the first delegation would reach Pakistan on Sept 22 and the second next month.
He said investment-friendly policies of the government were attracting foreign entrepreneurs to Pakistan. The peace talks started by the government with India had also increased the prospects of foreign investment, he said.
Anjum Nisar said the British entrepreneurs had made a substantial investment in different sectors of the economy in Pakistan, and there was a great scope for further investment in view of the incentives and concessions being offered by the government. He said the chamber would arrange sector-wise meetings between visiting UK businessmen and Pakistanis.
