QUETTA, Aug 11: The All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Balochistan has demanded that all appointments made by ministers in violation of the merit rules should be cancelled with immediate effect.

This was stated by provincial president of APCA, Mohammad Yousuf, while speaking at a Press Conference here on Tuesday. He said that in various government departments, including those of excise, food and agriculture, provincial ministers had appointed people in disregard of the principle of merit and other rules and regulations.

He said that when APCA protested over it, the ministers started victimisation and transferred many office bearers to other cities of the province. He said that according to the agreement with the provincial government the office bearers couldn't be transferred to other cities from their existing posting. He said that ministers have even made appointments to the promotion vacancies, which was a very serious violation of rules and regulations.

He said that due to these appointments hundreds of other governments employees were deprived of their due right of promotion. He demanded that all such appointments should be cancelled otherwise the clerks' association would launch a protest movement against the said ministers.

The APCA President further demanded that victimisation in various departments should be stopped and all transfers should be cancelled, deserved employees should be given promotion on the promotion vacancies, notification regarding 15 per cent increase in the salaries should be issued from July first.

He further demanded that seniority in the revenue department should preserved so that deserving employees could be promoted. He said that land should be allotted for government employees housing scheme in those districts where so far land was provided for this purpose.
