KARACHI, Aug 8: Sindh Home Minister Rauf Siddiqui on Sunday announced Rs100,000 each as compensation for those who died in bomb blasts in the Site area of the city.
According to an official announcement, the home minister also announced that the injured persons would be provided with full medical treatment at government expenses in hospitals of the city.
He said a high-level investigation team led by Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Tariq Jamil has been constituted. The team comprises DIG Investigation Akbar Arain, SSP Investigation Omer Shahid, ASP and other senior officers.
Mr Siddiqui said the police team has already started investigation on various angles and it has been asked to ascertain which group is involved in these bomb blast incidents.
He said that the terrorists wanted to spread sectarian strife by playing with lives of innocent citizens. The government would foil all their conspiracies and they would be severely punished, he added.
He condoled deaths and expressed sympathies with injured and their families and assured full cooperation in this regard. -APP
