ISLAMABAD, Aug 4: Director General Inter Services Public Relations Maj Gen Shaukat Sultan has said that army contingents of both China and Pakistan will benefit from each other's experiences by conducting joint exercises at a high altitude.

In an interview to BBC Radio, he said the exercises were aimed at increasing cooperation between the two countries. Replying to a question, he said the selection of the area was made because it is close to borders and it was easy for Pakistan troops to go there.

Secondly he said it was a high-altitude area and it was better for both the countries to conduct exercises there. Except this there is no other factor involved in choosing the area he said adding it will not be reasonable to draw any political stances from it.

Asked can it be that such exercises take place in Pakistan and the Chinese troops come here the ISPR DG said, in the past, too, Pakistan has carried joint exercises with the troops of other countries. -APP
