MUMBAI, May 22: Share prices closed 0.3 per cent lower on Wednesday on the Bombay Stock Exchange on sustained war fears after Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee called for a “decisive fight”, dealers said.

The 30-share BSE sensitive shed 11.04 points to close at 3,175.49.

Dealers said although local funds supported the index at lower levels, it was unable to offset the overall selling pressure.

The index has fallen already over 250 points in the last few sessions after Kashmir attack and it could start recovering on a technical rebound, a dealer with a domestic brokerage said.—AFP
