BAGHDAD, June 16: Marines arrested six members of the Iraqi Civil Defence Corp on suspicion of involvement in a roadside bomb attack on Wednesday morning in western Iraq that wounded five locals, the US military said.

The six, along with an Iraqi civilian who ran out of a nearby building after the blast in eastern Ramadi, 100 kilometres (60 miles) west of Baghdad, carrying hand grenades, were taken to a coalition base for questioning, a military spokeswoman for the United States army said. -AFP
