PESHAWAR, May 20: The NWFP cabinet met here on Monday to deliberate on various aspects of the proposed amendments in the NWFP Local Government Ordinance, 2001.

This ordinance relates to local and government finances.

The new financial system for the local government is likely to become effective from July 1 this year.—Bureau
