FAISALABAD, Oct 26: A one-day national seminar on shishem dieback will be held in the Forest Research Institute (FRI), Gattwala, here on Saturday (today).

Shafi Niaz, adviser to the chief executive on food, agriculture and livestock, will inaugurate the seminar.

Chief conservators of forests from three provinces, agriculture experts and farmers will attend to in an effort to know the root cause of shishem dieback syndrome in addition to recommending necessary measures to check this deadly timber disease.—APP
