HYDERABAD, March 1: The Labour Party Pakistan has urged the progressive and nationalist forces of the country to unite for launching a struggle for restoration of rights of working class and the provinces.
The call was extended by party chief Shoaib Bhatti while speaking at a seminar on "Economic Conditions of Sindh and Role of the State" organized by the party in Qasimabad here on Monday.
He said that in the name of national interests, resources of the provinces had been looted, and termed the controversial Kalabagh dam and Greater Thal canal projects a part of the same agenda. The leftist leader said that the need of the hour was that the federation should stop interfering into affairs of the provinces.
Speaking on the occasion, People's Party Parliamentarians leader Jam Saqi said that feudalism was not an indigenous system of Sindh and its feudal lords had been granted land by the British colonialists. Makhdoom Rasheed,Zain Daudpoto, Tanveer Shaikh and others also spoke at the seminar.
