Indian cabinet body reviews talks process

NEW DELHI, Feb 20: The Indian cabinet committee on security on Friday discussed the talks with Pakistan on the resumption of a composite dialogue to resolve outstanding issues, including the Kashmir dispute.

Foreign Secretary Shashank and External Affairs Joint Secretary Arun Singh, who participated in the talks in Islamabad, briefed Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and other members of the committee on the dialogue process, sources were quoted as saying.

Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani, Defence Minister George Fernandes and others attended the 30-minute meeting. -APP
