KOHAT, Feb 20: Leaders of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy have said that they would continue their agitation till the resignation of President Pervez Musharraf and return of exiled former prime ministers.
Speaking at a rally near Shah Faisal Gate after winding up a week-long agitation camp, they said there was a complete anarchy in the country where one man was taking all decisions on important issues like constitutional amendment, nuclear technology issue and functioning of parliament.
Speaking on the occasion, former PML-N MNA Javed Ibrahim Paracha said no party had accepted Gen Pervez Musharraf as the constitutional president of the country, therefore all the decisions being taken by him were illegal. He said the president's days were numbered.
DIG: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kohat region, Dr Sultan Hanif Orakzai was demoted to the post of officer on special duty (OSD) for reinstating to the police force a deranged man, who later killed four colleagues in police lines here last month, it was learnt on Thursday.
Constable Faheem was removed from service by former Kohat DIG Ghulam Mohammad following his resignation wherein he had expressed his inability to perform his professional duty owing to his mental illness.
