Chinese envoy donates $200,000

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29: Chinese Ambassador Zhang Chuxiang handed over $200,000 to Pakistan government at a ceremony here on Thursday.

The amount will be spent on providing relief to the flood- affected people in the country. Earlier, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao had sent a message of consolation to Prime Minister Jamali and the Chinese Red Cross Society donated $50,000 to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

The parliamentary and cabinet division secretaries thanked the Chinese envoy on the government’s behalf.—PPI
