SUKKUR, Aug 29: The excise police on Friday recovered 6,000kgs of charas from a truck on the Nation Highway, Naushahro Feroze district.

On a tipoff, a truck (LSC-3689) coming from the upcountry was intercepted by the excise police on the National Highway, near the Naushahro bypass, and recovered 6,000kg of charas from secret compartments of the truck.

The excise police have arrested three persons, Tahir Awan, Mohammad Saeed Awan and Mohammad Ismail, and confiscated the truck.

GIRL KILLED: A girl, Anwar Khatoon, 17, was killed by her fiance, Mohammad Chuttal, in Gul Sher Ghoto village, Ghotki district on Wednesday.
