HYDERABAD, Jan 22: The Sindh government has sanctioned of Rs50 million for an angiography machine at the under construction intensive care and coronary care unit in the Civil Hospital, Hyderabad.
CHH Medical Superintendent Dr Shafqat Memon told this correspondent that the amount was approved at a meeting held in Karachi few days back which was presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Sarwar Khero.
It was, however, learnt that the Sindh finance department would initially release Rs23 million before the end of current fiscal year. Dr Memon said that after creation of the CCU surgical ward, the people of Hyderabad would not have to go to Karachi for angiography. The ward is being created in the old Deewan Mushtaq CCU where an eight-bed intensive care unit is already working.
