GUJRANWALA, Jan 14: Narowal and Shakargarh exchanges will be connected soon with one digital number to provide better and modern telecommunication facilities to the area people.

This was stated by federal parliamentary secretary for telecommunication and information Mrs Rifat Javid while speaking at a meeting of Gujranwala telecommunication region officials here on Wednesday.

Gujranwala region general manager Mohammad Anwar briefed her on development projects being carried out by the department in the region. He said four new exchanges were being connected with the Narowal exchange while a proposal was also under consideration to connect seven more exchanges.

He said work on extension projects for the installation of telephone exchanges at Thamar Thal, Gorala, Chejwal, Adda Domala, Mindi Khil, Khil Adda Seraj, Adda Bostan and other villages was being started.-APP
