HYDERABAD, Jan 6: Hala Taluka Council employees held a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday against the dismissal of eight employees , including the general-secretary of the Workers Union, and non payment of three-month salary to employees.

Talking to journalists, leaders of the protesters said minorities' employees of the taluka council were being subjected to atrocities by the municipal administration. They said discrimination was also being observed against the minorities in promotion.

They said the employees had been dismissed from service for raising their voice for workers' rights. They demanded that the employees should be reinstated in service and they should be paid their salary.
