LAHORE, Jan 1: Federal Industries and Production Secretary M Javed Ashraf Husain has directed the Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre to amend the PC-1 of the project of development of 26 regional and zonal technology support centres across the country.

Speaking at a briefing given to him at the PITAC office here on Thursday, he took serious note of delays in the submission and approval of the revised PC-1 from the CDWP and ECNEC.

He urged the PITAC management to take all possible measures for the timely submission of the revised PC-I of the JICA project's phase II in the next meeting of the CDWP.

He said efforts should be made for the earliest utilization of the technology and facilities of these projects by the entire industrial sector of the country.

The secretary also discussed commencement of graduate and postgraduate courses in computer sciences, business administration and information technology. He asked the management to make a comprehensive presentation in Islamabad about all such activities undertaken by the PITAC in the recent past. -APP
