HYDERABAD, Jan 1: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Tuesday directed an applicant, Abdul Rasheed Memon, to file his rejoinder regarding the kidnap of his daughter after the police said he was not cooperating in investigation.
DPO A.D. Khawja and investigation in charge of Hala police station Hussain Bux filed their statements before the court. The Hala police official said that he had arrested nominated accused of the case, Noor Mohammad and Achar, and obtained their remand in police custody till Dec 26 and was trying to arrest other accused as well.
He said Mansoor, the applicant's son, in his statement to police disclosed that on Aug 20 he had beaten his sisters, Nayab, Aftab and Shadab and all of them left the house for unknown place. Another witness, Safia, said Nayab came to her and obtained Rs100 for going to her relatives in old Hala.
The police official said the applicant had submitted an application to police, saying that his son, Mansoor Ahmed, had beaten his daughters, who left the house and added that except for Nayab the other two returned to the house.
He told the court that the applicant sent another application to the Sindh adviser for home affairs upon which the SHO police station under directives of high-ups took action against son of the petitioner.
The in charge investigation prayed the court to dismiss the application and direct applicant to cooperate with investigating officer of the case for disposal of FIR.
