VEHARI, Dec 31: Three people were killed and 15 others sustained injuries in an accident on late Tuesday night near Kabirwala on Jhang-Multan Road.

A Multan-bound wagon (3399-JA) collided headon with a truck (2132-DI) near Choper Mutta stop. Truck driver Nadeem Khokar, Iqbal and Mazher Manzoor died instantly while 15 others suffered injuries.

The injured were identified as Saleem of Kabirwala, Ilyas of Shorkot, Latif, Muhammad Ali, Mumtaz of Sargodha, Ali Abbas of Muzaffarabad, Irfan of Kabirwala, Danish, Zafar, Haider, Zulfiqar of Multan, Maqsood Bibi, Sulman, Imam Buksh and Shakila Batool (5).

Nine of them were rushed to Nishter Hospital, Multan, while six others admitted to THQ Hospital, Kabirwala. The wagon driver escaped from the scene. Kabirwala police are going into the matter.
