FAP fears 40pc less water for Rabi crop

LAHORE, Dec 20: The Farmers Associates Pakistan (FAP) on Saturday expressed concern over 35 to 40 per cent water shortage this Rabi season, which will affect the wheat crop and also increase the cost of production. In a press statement, the FAP said farmers were already distressed on high prices of agriculture inputs. Chenab water is being stopped by India and no serious action is being taken, while we are wasting our water into sea because after 1976, no dam was constructed on the Indus River. — Reporter
