PESHAWAR, May 12: The NWFP government has declared three districts and some tehsils calamity-hit for one year — from Kharif crop 2000 to Rabi crop 2000-2001.
These districts included Chitral, Shangla, and Lower Dir. The tehsils included Daggar, Gadazai, Totalai, Gagra, Chamla, and Chagharzai.
Similarly, the villages of Revenue Circles Baist Khel, Isak Khel, Lakki Saddar and Tittar Khel of Lakki Marwat district have also been declared calamity-hit areas for the period from July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002.
Moreover, the government has also declared the villages of Revenue Circles Swabi, Topi, Dewal, Lahor-I and Lahor-II of district Swabi calamity-hit areas for the period from July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002.
Meanwhile, the government has declared the villages of Karak, Sabirabad, Banda Daud Shah, Takhte Nusrati and Ahmadabad, Revenue Circles of Karak district, calamity-hit areas.
The villages of Chahkan, Yarik, D.I.Khan, Malana and Paroa and Tehsil Revenue Circle Daraban, Chaudhwan, Tehsil Kulachi, Paharpur and Kotjai Revenue circles of district D.I.Khan, calamity-hit areas for the period from July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002. —APP
