KARACHI, Dec 12: Six ships carrying high-speed diesel, crude oil and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Hyundai Admiral, Bauhinia Bridge to unload and load containers and Quetta to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many on Friday.
The departing ships were led by Rising OM, Bauhinia Bridge and T.S. India, while Quetta and Hyundai Admiral are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 103,000 tons comprising 13,649 tons of export cargo including 2,165 tons of rice and 7,669 tons of cement and 89,179 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Adriatic Arrow to load 9,000 tons of cement, Khairpur to offload 5,400 tons of import cargo, Green Valley and Cap Gabriel with containers, Torm Emile with 40,000 tons of high-speed diesel and 9,500 tons of jet oil and Johar with 65,000 tons of crude oil.
