SADIQABAD, Oct 12: A team of the agriculture department aided by police on Sunday seized over 1000 bags of spurious DAP fertiliser from the premises of a ginning factory on GT Road and arrested 17 people.

The sale of spurious DAP has risen in the recent past because of the price hike. A 50kg bag of the fertiliser is currently being sold at Rs 5000.
