KARACHI, Sept 20: Nine ships carrying wheat, containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Fatima to load cement, Ninos, Kota Haspas and King Brian to unload and load containers, Fanja to unload and load general cargo and Gulf Tiger to offload high-speed diesel were berthed after the departure of five.
The departing ships were led by Calvin P. Titus, Sima Sahba, Tower Bridge, Hellenic Horizon and Valiant, while Kota Hapas, Blida, Fanja, Ninos, King Brian and Gulf Tiger are due to sail out on Sunday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active totalling 120,000 tons comprising 46,852 tons of export cargo and 72,726 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Atermon with 35,330 tons of imported wheat, Lucky Arrow and Flag Investor to load 11,500 and 17,500 tons of cement, Wu Yi Hai with coal, As Mars, Cap Gbriel, Wan Hai-311, Mol Affinity and Deja Bhum with containers. The following are due on Monday: Clipper Trinidad with chemicals, North Pole to load ethanol and MOL Ability with containers.
