WASHINGTON, May 7: The US State Department said on Tuesday that an American-Muslim physician, said to have been investigating the aftermath of fighting at the Palestinian refugee camp at Jenin, has been detained by Israeli authorities.

“He was arrested and a consular official has visited him,” said Lynn Cassel, a State Department spokeswoman.—AFP
