Few surprises in Ireland’s squad

DUBLIN, May 7: Ireland coach Mick McCarthy kept faith with the players who secured qualification to the World Cup finals when he named his 23-man squad on Tuesday.

GOALKEEPERS: Shay Given, Alan Kelly, Dean Kiely.

DEFENDERS: Steve Finnan, Ian Harte, Gary Kelly, Steve Staunton, Kenny Cunningham, Richard Dunne, Gary Breen, Andy O’Brien.
