Kamran, Shahid stand out in KCCA league

KARACHI, Aug 12: Kamran Hussain’s brilliant half-century helped Khizra Sports register a 106-run win over Asifabad Sports in the NBP-KCCA Premier Cricket League at the KCCA Stadium on Monday.

Batting first, Khizra Sports scored 252 all out in 45 overs. Kamran Hussain (87) remained the top-scorer, also striking seven boundaries.

Khizra Sports wrapped up Asifabad Sports’ innings for 146 in the 34.5 overs. Zeeshan and Naseer Khan captured two wickets each for the winners.

Meanwhile, Landhi Friends recorded an exciting one-wicket victory over Punjab Cricket Club at the Landhi Gymkhana.

In another match, Hamdam Cricket Club thrashed Orangi Muslim Cricket Club by six wickets at Student Ground.

In the matches played on Sunday, Cantt Sports beat Karachi Eaglets by nine wickets, AO Blues thrashed Late Ismail Jaffar Cricket Club by eight wickets, Rafiq Shirazi Memorial Cricket Club defeated Bilal Friends by 113 runs and Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Club overwhelmed Paramount Cricket Club by four wickets.
