KARACHI, Aug 12: Six ships carrying chemicals, containers and to load cement and molasses are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Caribbean Carrier, Berdyansk to load cement, Mitra Bhum, Mol Ablity and Oel Trust to unload and load containers, Capitan Markus with general cargo and Chemical Echo and Lalazar, both tankers, were berthed.
Four ships, Oel Trust, Mitra Bhum, Ali-16 and Chemroad Echo departed on Tuesday, while Quetta, Port Estoril, Song Shan, Wan Hai-302 and Lalazar are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 113,000 tons comprising 23,315 tons of export cargo and 89,094 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Handy Tankers Spirit to load 15,000 tons of molasses, Bow Cap with chemicals, Empress Dragon, APL Cairo and APL Chicago with containers and Salina to load cement.
