KARACHI, Aug 7: The Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) has withdrawn its call for a public transport strike in the city against non-issuance of the notification for revised fares.
KTI president Syed Irshad Hussain Bukhari said on Thursday that the strike call was being withdrawn as the chief minister had given his approval to the summary of the proposed increase in fares.
He said the message had been conveyed to him by the provincial transport minister’s media coordinator on Friday night.
