SIALKOT, May 6: Turkish embassy in Islamabad has assured the Sialkot businessmen of early provision of all technical and commercial assistance for the development of cottage industries.
In it’s letter to the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the embassy disclosed that various Turkish companies were willing to set up joint ventures with Pakistani companies and adequate efforts were being made for further strengthening the mutual trade ties between Turkey and Pakistan.
Hailing the export culture of Sialkot, the Turkish embassy said that Sialkot-based exporters could capture the Turkish and the European markets by exporting the best quality goods, as there were bright chances of setting up joint ventures between Turkish and Pakistani companies. It is high time to enhance the mutual trade activities, it added.
SCCI senior-vice president Navid Iqbal Sheikh has welcomed this offer, terming it vital for enhancing the mutual trade ties.
