LAHORE, Aug 1: A two-year-old girl drowned in a pond outside her house in Baghbanpura here on Friday, police say.

Nawaz told police that her daughter Ayesha was playing along with her siblings when she fell in a pond and drowned.

He said water had accumulated in the pond after Friday’s rain. The area people protested against the Water and Sanitation Authority for not draining the water.
