KARACHI, July 31: Seven ships including three cement loaders are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where half a dozen ships, Ali-16 to load cement, Hansa Liberty, APL Shenzhen, Cap Negro to unload and load containers, Sari for bunkering and Quetta to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many.
The departing ships were led by QSM Sharjah, Sima Sahba, Lucky Arrow, Bulk Arrow, APL Dalian and Lalazar, while Hansa Liberty, Cape Negro, Smarty, Tenth Ocean and Hyundai Emperor are due to sail out on Friday.
A total tonnage of 115,000 tons comprising 41,048 tons of export cargo and 73,858 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Friday: Red Sea Spirit, Christina to load 32,500 tons of cement, Devi Glory to load clinkers, Pearl of Sharjah, with coal, Eric G. Gibson and Y.M. Improvement with containers.
