JACOBABAD, Oct 23: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said his party wants to get rid of the Musharraf government because it has become a protector of American interests in this region.
The Jamaat chief was addressing the newsmen of Jacobabad by telephone from Mansehra.
Qazi said that his party was organizing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday and a sit-in in Islamabad against the government. He said that the Jamaat would neither allow the government to remain in power nor would it allow the American troops on the Pakistan soil.
He said that the government’s decision to ban his entry into Sindh was illegal.
