KARACHI, May 16: Pakistan has been drawn in pool ‘D’ alongside Chinese Taipei, China and Kuwait in the 15-nation 14th Asian juniors’ men’s volleyball championship which will be held in Tehran from Aug 23 to 31.

The competition will also serve as qualifier for next year’s world juniors’ volleyball championship.

According to the fixtures, Pakistan is drawn to meet Chinese Taipei in their first league match on Aug 23. Their second tie will be against China on Aug 24 while they take on Kuwait on Aug 25.

Top two teams from four groups will advance to the super eight stage which begins on Aug 26 while curtain falls on the event on Aug 31.

Pools:

‘A’: Iran, Qatar and Maldives.

‘B’: Japan, Australia, Kazakhstan and UAE.

‘C’: India, Korea, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

‘D’: Chinese Taipei, China, Pakistan and Kuwait.
