ISLAMABAD, March 12: The incoming government should not accommodate the pro-International Monitory Fund (IMF) economic experts who were taking hefty loans from the donor organisations in the name of undertaking welfare projects.

This demand was raised by members of Federal Organisation for Banks and Financial Institutions Employees. They warned the government-in-waiting that the loans taken from IMF and World Bank (WB) were aggravating the miseries of the people instead of benefiting them.

Chairperson liaison committee of the employees’ organisation and president United Bank Officers and Employees Action Committee Malik Mohammed Hussain in a statement appealed to co- chairperson PPP Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif and ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan to make accountable the economic experts who were behind writing off Rs53 billion foreign loans which had put a big burden on the poor people.

President action committee Islamabad region Shaukat Ali Bhatti also called upon the leaders to abolish anti-labour laws like the IRO-2002, etc.
