KARACHI, March 12: Four ships carrying containers and crude oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven ships, Alam Scnang to offload wheat, Shaheen al Ghanim-10 to load clinkers, Don Prane Bulic, APL Brisbane, Tenth Ocean, Soon Fu to unload and load containers and Thor Admiral to unload and load general cargo were berthed.

Sailing was also active as eight ships, Mol Admiration, Kapitan Byankin, Conti Harmony, Ibn Batouta, Thor Admiral, Power Ranger, Orbi and Noor-i-Madina departed on Wednesday, while Johar, Bow Lion, Tenth Ocean, Lucky Arrow, APL Brisbane, Al-Kortoubi and Shaheen Al-Ghanim-10 are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.135m tons comprising 57,965 tons of export cargo including 7,101 tons of cement and 7,660 tons of clinkers and 77,283 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Swat with crude oil, Filippa, Hyundai Future and Emirates West with containers.
