KARACHI: March 11: Unity in diversity is how an advertising copywriter may like to describe the annual Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture’s faculty exhibition, third in a row.

Curated by Usman Ghouri once again, the show displaying the work of the art school’s faculty members offers a wide variety.

There are miniatures, drawings, paintings, photographs (some manipulated, others not), prints, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media and multi-media. So what more does one want? There are 37 entries; last year the number was 35. There is not much room for more.

Participants were from all age groups — from veterans like Meher Afroz and Rashid Arshad to newcomers like Warda Umar and Rabeya Jalil.

The youngsters may not have had as much experience but they were not far behind those who have been on the scene for a long time. The standard was uniformly high. The show will continue till the 22nd.
