KARACHI, March 8: Four-year-old bay filly Taizper should start as the clear favourite to make it a two-in-a-row in the feature event when the Gymkhana race meeting takes place at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.
He was promoted to class V div I and II after galloping to a facile seven-and-a-half lengths victory over Reyan The Great in the last outing on Feb 27 under rider Mohammad Essa.
Her track work and form suggests that she will edge past the field in the five furlongs fourth race on the card.
Colt Discreet Cat and filly Sahibzadi comes in the reckoning of posing a serious challenge to Taizper.
Four-year-old bay filly Samreen looks a good thing to reign supreme in the supporting event, a five furlongs top division race of class VII, provided The Ghazan Prince and Sweetie Pie are again not backed by the connections.
In the last run both The Ghazan Prince and Sweetie Pie were amongst those who also ran.
Sharp Cat and Baby John have the potential to finish on the board among 14 runners barring last minute withdrawl.
Three-year-old chestnut filly Jadu Jantar seems to atone for the loss by claiming the opener while filly Bacaradi is on course for a hat trick in the second race.
Four-year-old dark bay filly Shawanda has to produce her best to overcome Daruwala and The Choice Of The Day besides of course, stable mates With Interest and Make Millions in the fifth race.
Little Girl who finished nowhere in the last run should make amends by capturing the concluding race.
A card of six races has been chalked out for day. The first race begins at 1.30pm.
