KARACHI, March 4: The University of Karachi on Tuesday announced an extension in the date for the submission of registration forms of MA, double MA and improvement of division.
The registration forms can be submitted with a fee of Rs2,000 including Rs350 as late surcharge from March 5 to 22. Change of subject will be allowed with a prescribed fee of Rs400 till March 22.
Degree class admissions
The University of Karachi also extended the date of admissions to first and second years of BA, BSc (pass) and BCom till March 15.
According to a KU release, the admission forms can be submitted with a late fee of Rs500. However, the students have been asked to complete the requisite attendance by the end of the session under the university rules.
Principals of all affiliated degree colleges in Arts, Science and Commerce have been asked to forward pay orders of late fee in favour of University of Karachi with a list of admissions to the registrar latest by March 19. A copy of admission list may also be forwarded to the enrolment section of the university.
BIEK results
The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) announced the results of Home Economics supplementary examinations 2007.
According to statistics of the results, as many as 120 candidates appeared in the exams out of which 41 were declared successful.
Only one candidate managed to secure B grade while nine got C, 30 secured D grade and only one got E grade. The pass percentage remained at 34.17.
SSC admit cards
The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) said that it would soon dispatch admit cards of SSC part-I and II, General Group (private) annual examination, 2008.
In case the candidates do not receive their admit cards up to March 25, they can approach Room No 5, 1st floor, Block B of the board to collect their duplicate admit cards after showing their fee slips.
Furthermore, the candidates of General Group (private) who have submitted their examination forms without mentioning their residential addresses have been asked to immediately approach Room No 5, 1st floor of the board to enter their residential addresses in the board’s record.
Diploma in fine arts
The Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) has announced the results of the annual examination 2007 of Diploma in Fine Arts.
Hafsa Inam of the Karachi School of Arts clinched the first position, followed by Tabassum Naz of North City School of Arts and Tahmina Ayub of the Karachi School of Arts, who stood second and third respectively.
In Commercial Arts (Textile Design), Sahar Nazir of the North City School of Arts stood first in the order of merit. Faiza Azam of Central Institute of Arts and Crafts secured the second position while Sameera Gulfraz of the Sadequain College of Arts and Architecture got the third position.
In Graphic Design, Mariam Rahim of North City School of Arts stood first followed by Hamdan Parvani of Central Institute of Arts and Crafts and Asma Jabeen of North City School of Arts who secured second and third positions respectively.
As many as 396 candidates appeared in the Diploma of Fine Arts annual examination 2007 and of them 278 were declared successful.
