OKARA, Feb 27: An elderly villager was bumped off over a trivial issue in a nearby Chak 54/SP on Wednesday.

Reports said Lal Din asked Nasir to change the direction of his maize thrasher machine as it was throwing dust towards his house.

On Nasir’s refusal, harsh words were exchanged between the two. Later, Nasir along with his accomplice Maqbool overpowered Lal Din and threw him into the running maize thrasher.

He sustained fatal injuries and died at a local hospital.
