KARACHI, Feb 21: Five ships carrying chemicals and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where seven ships, Hyundai Sprinter, Helene Rickmers and Filippa to unload and load containers, Surfing Jad to load cement, Swat to offload crude oil, Splandour to unload furnace oil and Mariella Bottiglieri to load molasses were berthed.
Three ships, Adriatic Wind, Johar and APL Amman departed on Thursday, while Bodar, Banga Lanka, Atlantic Leader, Splendour, Helene Rickmers, Soon Fu and Swat are due to sail out on Friday.
A total tonnage of 0.129m tons comprising 39.272 tons of export cargo including 20,800 tons of clinkers and 90,058 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.
The following ships are due on Friday: Lalazar with crude oil, Royal Imperial with chemicals, APL Tulip, Harmony and Tower Bridge with containers.
