JACOBABAD, Feb 10: An elderly man suffered heart attack and died on Sunday after hearing the news about kidnapping of his son, who was kidnapped with two others when their wagon reached near Dil Murad railway station in Thull late on Saturday night.
Reports said that the bandits who were in the same wagon held the passengers hostage and drove away the wagon at gunpoint near the railway station.
They freed the other passengers after covering some distances and took away the three namely Chandar, Mumtaz Khoso and Indar Lal. Sudham Chand, the father of Chandar, fell unconscious and was moved to a hospital when he heard about kidnapping of his son. He died on Sunday morning.
Our Sukkur correspondent adds: Complete shutter down strike was observed in Karim Bux and Manjhipur towns near Thull on Sunday against the kidnapping.
Hundreds of residents of both the towns led by Narain Das, Vishno Mal and Qudratullah Khoso blocked Thull-Jacobabad-Manjhipur road for three hours by burning tyres.
