US shares dip

NEW YORK, Feb 5: Wall Street shares took a nosedive on Tuesday after a surprisingly weak reading on US service sector activity intensified fears about a recession in the world’s biggest economy. The Dow Jones Industrial Average sank 245.41 points (1.94pc) to 12,347.31 while the tech-heavy Nasdaq shed 39.94 points (1.68pc) to 2,342.91—AFP
