Employees demand salaries

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 4: Lower staff employees of the Education Department took out a procession from the Government Primary School to the Moro Press Club on Monday protesting the stoppage of salary for last two months.

Around 35 protesters led by Mohammad Ali Qureshi, Asghar Bahrani and Habibur Rehman Bhatti after passing through different roads reached the Moro Press Club where they demonstrated.

They said 292 lower employees were appointed some seven months back and were paid salaries up to November but later stopped by the Treasury Department on reportedly directives of Secretary Finance Sindh.

Protesters said that they got relief on securing jobs but were again pushed into trouble.

They appealed to the caretaker Sindh Chief Minister, chief secretary, secretary education and secretary finance to look into the matter and release their salaries.

ROBBERY: Three armed men snatched a motorcycle from Nazar Mohammad Dahiri on Rab Parto-Tharushah Link Road on Monday.

Buffalo from the house of Wadero Allah Dino Morio in Ward 8, Tharushah, and another from the house of Nawab Siyal in Darbelo were stolen on Sunday night.

Robbers also broke locks of Kiryana Shop of Sikandar Ali Janwari in Tharushah and took away valuables.
