KARACHI, Feb 1: Four ships with containers, general cargo, wheat and LPG were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

In the meantime, four more ships to load/unload rice, clinker, coal and crude oil also arrived at outer anchorage.

Seven ships, CMA Effel, Al-Wajba, Kuwana, Xin Hua Men, Yick Shun, Sigas Silva and Olympic Serenity, were busy in loading and unloading containers, general cargo, wheat, LPG and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 72,924 tons comprising 65,268 tons of import and 7,656 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Bunga Melati Dua, John G.R, Olympic, Sigas Silva, Kuwana and Al-Wajba left the port while CGM Eiffel was due to depart.
