SIALKOT, Jan 28: Scores of activists of People’s Youth Organisation (PYO) and PPP on Monday staged a protest demonstration against the Pasrur police’s alleged political support to PML-Q candidates.

Led by Punjab PPP secretary-general Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, they took out a rally near the offices of the district administration. The PPP ticket-holders from Sialkot district were also present on the occasion.

Later, Ghulam Abbas told the newsmen that the Pasrur police were allegedly providing complete official protocol to PML-Q candidates in the tehsil, besides harassing PPP voters and supporters. He urged the chief election commissioner to take serious notice of the situation. — Correspondent
