KARACHI, Jan 2: Seven ships carrying chemicals, phosphate and containers, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Limari, to unload and load containers, African Shark, to unload fertiliser, Yasa Pembe, to unload and load general cargo and Mrc Coral, a tanker, berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was on the higher side as eight vessels, Oel Shreyas, Harmony, Kota Ganteng, Lamphun Navee, Tenth Ocean, Hacun, Ocean Diamond, and Sunshine Sky departed, while Limari, Noble Coral, Budduri, Yasa, Mrch Coral, Sinar Bintan, and Sea Breeze Bulker are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 93,686 tons, comprising 25,990 tons of export tonnage, including 5,239 tons of cement and 67,696 tons of import cargo was handled on Wednesday.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Chemstar Brave, with chemicals, Augusta, Hanjin Port Adelaide, and Global Prince, with containers and Shadwan Island, with rock phosphate.?
