PESHAWAR, Dec 6: Police on Thursday arrested two persons and recovered automatic weapons and ammunition from their possession. The arms and ammunition were apparently being smuggled to Punjab.

According to police, a car was stopped at the Jamrud police post. Two persons — identified as Aman, son of Said Mir Shah, and Baz Mohammad, son of Gul Bar — were subsequently arrested. Police have registered a case against the accused under the Arms Act.—Bureau Report
