EU-Iraq pact

BRUSSELS, Nov 28: The European Union and Iraq reported significant progress towards a trade and cooperation pact after talks on Wednesday and a minister said Iraq’s business climate would improve markedly next year.

Mohammed Hamud Bidan, Iraq’s deputy foreign minister, told a news conference that 90 per cent of the negotiations had been concluded and improvements in the security situation in Iraq were creating better prospects for business.—Reuters
